Donald Trump – Chaos Unraveling

Donald Trump in chaos

Donald Trump has always managed by creating and encouraging chaos and strife. He has said that he prefers doing it that way. The chaos in the White House administration was a natural result of Trump’s management style. He keeps people off balance. That’s the way he likes it.

This led up to the January 6th mayhem. Now it is centered on a New York Courthouse. And unless the case is dismissed somewhere on the way, it will end up in the Supreme Court.

True to form, Trump attacked both the persecutor and the judge. Generally not a good idea.

At a press conference after the indictment hearing, District Attorney Alvin Bragg said, “It’s not just about one payment. It is 34 business records – 34 false statements and business records. They were concealing criminal conduct.”

In his turn, Trump’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina said, “There’s nothing the indictment itself. It is boilerplate. It doesn’t allege any federal crime and the state crime that’s been violated. It doesn’t allege what the false statement is, and it’s really disappointing. It’s sad and we’re going to fight it. We’re going to fight it hard.”

Judge Merchan told the court: “I’d encourage counsel for both sides to speak to your witnesses, defense counsel speak to your client and remind them to please refrain from making statements that are likely to incite violence and civil unrest. Don’t engage in words or conduct which could jeopardize the rule of law as it applies to these proceedings in this courtroom.”

So what did Donald “The Don” Trump do? He flew to his Florida home, Mar-a-Lago, and held a press conference he did just what the Judge warned him not to do.that.

Only other U.S. president has ever been charged with a crime. That was the Civil War Hero Ulysses S. Grant, who was arrested in 1872 for speeding with his horse and buggy in Washington, D.C. He was taken to jail and paid a $20 fine.
